The small set of browser storage used by the site and private-beta application.

Essential session cookie
Signed-in users receive a strictly necessary authentication cookie. In production it is HttpOnly and Secure with SameSite=Lax. The cookie carries a signed session bearer; the database session remains authoritative. Its sliding expiry is seven days, with renewal eligibility after 24 hours of activity.
Preference storage
The site stores the selected light, dark, or system theme in browser storage so the preference persists. It is a display preference and is not used for advertising.
Analytics
If PostHog is enabled, the browser client loads only after an explicit allowlisted product event and uses memory-only identifiers. Autocapture, page views, profiles, replay, surveys, performance capture, and persistent analytics storage are disabled. Oddseal does not use advertising cookies.
Your controls
Blocking the authentication cookie prevents sign-in. Clearing the saved theme resets the display preference. Browser and edge behavior must be re-audited before this draft becomes effective.
